Frequently Asked Questions

What information is required to place an order?

  • The recipient’s name
  • Physical address (carriers will not deliver to a P.O. Box)
  • The correct zip code
  • If the gift is being delivered to a business address, include the company’s name.
  • Day time phone number

The day phone number is very important.  This is the number that the shipper will call if they have any question concerning delivery.  Helpful hint: If you do not know the recipient’s phone number, enter a number where you can be reached.

Do you offer a guarantee?

Yes, your satisfaction is always guaranteed.  Please refer to our "Terms of Use" web page for full details. 

How do I know you received my order?

You will receive an e-mail confirmation within minutes of placing your order.  The confirmation will list the following information:

  • Recipient’s name
  • Item selected
  • Total cost
  • Arrival date
  • Order number

Included with the e-mail confirmation will be a link to our automated tracking system.  You can track shipments from pickup to delivery. Helpful hint: Tracking numbers are posted the day after we ship.  Wait (24) hours before tracking.  If you should notice a shipping discrepancy, notify us immediately at: CustomerService@DesireesGiftBaskets.com

When will my order ship?

Orders placed before 12 noon EST are shipped the same day.  Orders placed after 12 noon EST are shipped the next business day.  Weekends and Holidays are not considered business days.  We offer numerous shipping options.  Reminder: Arrival dates for ground shipments are estimated.  If a specific arrival date is required, we suggest Over-night or Second-day service.  Additional feature:  Our system enables you to place orders for delivery next week or next month!  After selecting a method of delivery, click on the check box next to the arrival date.  Enter a future arrival date; our system will automatically adjust the shipping date. 

Does the retail price include the shipping cost?

No, shipping prices vary according to the product selected and the manufacturer.  Shipping options and prices are listed for each product. 

What if I need to make changes to the order or cancel?

We will make every effort to change your order as long as it has not been delivered or in transit.  To request a change, e-mail us at: CustomerService@DesireesGiftBaskets.com.  Normally, a request change submitted by 11:00 am EST (on the ship day) can be implemented.  During peak holiday periods (Christmas, Mother’s Day & Valentines’) same day changes may not be possible. 

Can I review my order, after it’s placed?       

Yes, go to our home page and select View Orders.  The system will ask for the order number and the recipient’s name.  Details pertaining to your order will appear as line items.  Click on the order number to review the original order.   Additional feature: The primary function of this screen is to track shipments online.  Click on the tracking number and connect directly to the carriers’ shipping page.  Helpful hint:  Normally, we do not receive tracking numbers until the day after your order is shipped.  Please allow (24) hours for tracking information to be posted.         

I want to send more than (1) gift to the same address, is there a discount on freight?

No, orders must be entered individually; each gift item is packaged and shipped separately.  Also, depending on your gift selections, items could be shipped from different locations.       

I need help with a large order; multiple recipients and multiple locations.  Do you provide personalized service?
